I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A NICE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!

IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE IT'S GRADUATION TIME!

THE NEW YORK STATE SCIENCE TEST WILL BE GIVEN DURING THE NEXT WEEK'

THE PERFORMANCE TEST WILL BE GIVEN  ON THURSDAY, JUNE 1ST.

THE WRITTEN TEST WILL BE GIVEN ON MONDAY, JUNE 5TH.

THESE TESTS WILL BE GRADED AS THE STUDENTS' FINAL EXAM GRADES IN SCIENCE.


We have been working on the New York State Review Book and have had practice using the performance equipment in the lab. 

We have also connected to Quizlet which practices vocabulary via quizzes and games.

There will be a weekly NYSTATE TEST ON VOCABULARY on assigned chapters.

STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO WORK ON ALL CHAPTERS OF THEIR NEW YORK STATE BOOKS INDEPENDENTLY.

We will be meeting daily and homework will be given on this page. However, it is very important that students also put all assignments in their planners in order to organize the books and supplies they need to take home each day.

There will be a weeks notice prior to each test and they will be listed on this page.
There should be no weekend homework other than long-range projects and studying for tests.

There will be extra help for EIGHTH grade on Friday mornings beginning at 8:10 A.M.


The Science schedule for 8-1 & 8-2 Science is:

Monday: DOUBLE PERIOD 1:00 - 2:25 P.M.
Tuesday:  1:50 - 2:25 P.M.
Wednesday:  1:50 - 2:25 P.M.
Thursday:  8:45 - 9:28 A.M.
Friday;  S.T.E.M. - 11:32 A.M. - 12:17 P.M.

All tests must be signed and returned.

CLASS POLICIES:.

This year the EIGHTH grade will be exploring Physical Science dealing with matter, energy, and chemical changes. In addition we will be reviewing throughout the school year to prepare for the eighth grade science performance and written tests in June.  Materials in the Lab are used in class on a regular basis and will continue to be used throughout the year. Energy and force are our final topics.
