4-1 with Mrs. Schweers

Week of January 14th

This is what we will be working on this week:

Religion:   We will complete our Chapter on Baptism and Begin a new chapter on the Beatitudes.
      
 
ELA: We will begin a new story, Hurricanes Earth's Mightiest Storms, and  new vocabulary words will be introduced. 

Math
:    We will be working on:
  We will compete Chapter 13, Area and Perimeter and begin Chapter 10,  two dimensional figures.  

Science: 
  We will begin a new chapter, changes to the Earth's Surface.  

Social Studies:   We will continue reading Unit 2  New York's Early People.  We will focus on the Iroquois and Algonquins.


Extra Help will be on Friday mornings at 8:15.  Please let me know if your child will be attending by either sending a note or an email.

Please make sure to check your child's planner and sign it each night.  

Children that attend band lessons and enrichment are responsible for all missed work.

Students should have a book to read with them at all times.   If you have any books at home that you would like to donate to our class library, we would greatly appreciate it.  

Students should be reading at least 20 minutes daily.  Please make sure your child is reading on a daily basis.  Also, encourage your child to complete and hand in a reading log.  

Please be sure to send a note if there is a change in your child's usual dismissal.
